About Maddie

Hi, I’m Maddie.

Embodiment Coach. Yoga Teacher. Advocate for intentional living.

Journey On was born from my own path of discovery and recovery - moving through burnout, people pleasing, and the heartbreak of losing several loved ones in quick succession.

My Journey

A move from fast-paced London to the Peak District planted the seed for change, but the real shift came after losing two of my uncles, my grandfather, my mum’s diagnosis of incurable cancer and the end of a toxic relationship.

Yoga, which I first turned to as a coping tool, opened my eyes to how disconnected I’d become from myself. As I began to tune back into my body, questions I’d been avoiding rose to the surface:

  • Was I living the life I truly wanted, or just the one I thought I should want?

  • Why wasn’t I fulfilled, even when everything looked “fine” from the outside?

  • What could happen if I stopped playing small and shutting myself off from opportunities?

Having the courage to face those questions honestly set me on the path I’m walking now: one of healing, self discovery and growth. It’s the path that led me to leave a stable job and commit fully to supporting others on their own journey.

My Why

For years, I ticked all the boxes, steady career, busy social life, weekends crammed with plans and yet I couldn’t shake the question: Is this it?

I’d built a life that looked good on the outside but left me disconnected on the inside. Was I really choosing my path, or just following the one I’d been handed?

Through coaching, yoga and some brave decisions, I learned how to slow down, listen inward, and rewrite the rules. Now, I help women do the same - to step unapologetically into lives that feel authentic, energising, and aligned with who they truly are.

My work blends mindset coaching with somatic practices, because real transformation happens when the mind and body come together.

Professional Path

Before coaching, I spent over a decade in project, people, and event management, including six years in recruitment operations at a major university.

Along the way, I coached and mentored teams, always drawn to the moments where people discovered what they were truly capable of.

Today, I’m a:

  • Diploma qualified Transformative Coach (Animas Centre for Coaching)

  • Emotional Health Coach Specialist
    (Home of Self Transformation)

  • 500 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance, trained in Vinyasa and Hatha

  • Specialist in Yin & Trauma Informed Yoga (70 hours of advanced training)

Every skill, every qualification and every life detour has led me here, helping others move from burnout and self doubt to confidence, clarity and purpose.
